Breaking Patterns
"The line stays straight until someone changes the rhythm."
One evening, I noticed a group of parrots sitting on a wire.
They were perfectly aligned, still, quiet, and predictable.
It looked safe, almost like they were following an invisible rule.
Then one parrot moved.
It didn’t fly away. It simply stretched its wings and disturbed the stillness.
That small moment changed everything.
The straight line suddenly felt like a choice, not a rule, as if movement was always possible, just never attempted.
It made me realize something simple.
In life, many patterns we follow aren’t real rules, they are just habits.
We stay because others stay.
We wait because others wait.
We choose comfort because it feels easier.
But all it takes is one small step. Not to rebel, but to be real.
Because stillness is often just a habit, not a requirement.
Growth begins in that quiet moment when you decide to move differently, when you act while others are still thinking.
It may seem small, but it changes the rhythm.
And once the rhythm changes, nothing stays the same.
Sometimes, you don’t need to break away.
Just move… when everything else is still.
Because the line stays straight, until someone changes the rhythm.
